The context

A team of doctors had clinical guidance they wanted patients to follow every day. They needed it turned into an app simple enough that people would actually use it.

My role

I designed StepCal end to end, working directly with the doctors to understand their guidance and carrying the app from workflows and wireframes through prototypes and production UI.

What I focused on

  • Translating clinical guidance into plain, actionable daily steps for non-technical users.
  • Following iOS and Android platform conventions so the app felt native on both.
  • Keeping the daily experience short and clear enough to become a habit.

Outcome

StepCal launched on the App Store and Google Play and has been downloaded by more than 2,000+ users.
