About me

I'm a senior UX and product designer with 20+ years of experience, including 15+ years at a senior/staff design leadership level. I've led design at Reflexis (acquired by Zebra Technologies for $575 million) and TRUX (where Vulcan Materials Company took a controlling stake), co-founded and sold a web and marketing company, and hand-coded 100+ websites. I hold a B.S. in Computer Science and Information Systems from Framingham State University.

What I value

1. Process. A successful product design team relies on reusable, intuitive processes that keep development and design aligned.
2. Scalability. Processes aren't viable if they can't handle the demands that come with a company's growth.
3. Collaboration. My clients and direct reports need the information required to contribute effectively to their company's success.
4. Focus. Scope creep is bad. Designing without users in mind is bad. Being unserious about the problem your product solves is bad. Be good.
5. Mentorship. I can name the mentor who helped me get where I am today, and I'm proud that some people would name me as theirs.
